Hihintayin kita hanggang
paglalim ng gabi…
Mapupundi ang ilaw,
ngunit ang mga alitaptap ay sasayaw.
Simoy ng hangin ay lalamig,
kasabay ng pag-init nitong banig.
Aabangan kita sa’king
panaginip,
dito’y di ako
maiinip.

April 13, 2012, morning- Every media outfit is having big scoops regarding the launch of the North Korean satellite rocket, which other calls as a missile. It was reported that the rocket was launched 6:40 am, MNL time. In the anticipation that debris of the so-called rocket will fall on the northeastern waters of Luzon, the government through NDRRMC issued a ‘no-fly, no-sail and no-fish’ order near Cagayan province. Alas! the government learned a lot from previous disasters which happened in and outside the country. The government should be praised for that— its responsiveness and preparedness was unparalleled. An hour after, the rocket was reported to have broken apart minutes after the launch. Ayos!, sabi nang ilan.
But what was interesting, yet distracting here, was that our government was only getting second-hand information from the US-Pacific command, and Japanese and South Korean government agencies alike. The problem here lies on the very idea that these triumvirate of nations have a not-so-good relationship with North Korea, especially since they have vested political interest in pressuring the fall of the North Korean government. According to the NoKor government, the rocket was intended to help their government track weather patterns and conditions, and is only a satellite rocket, with that in my mind, nothing to worry about because every nation is doing this. But because of the politics revolving around the play of nations, the supposed government tool was tagged as a missile, in assault of South Korea and other sovereign nations. The issue here is not about the rocket itself, but rather, the issue of getting first-hand information from the source, after all NoKor is ‘open’ for some political/ diplomatic relations. In the present time, it will be hard because the Philippines remain to be a Pacific puppet of the United States, and as long as we have these ties with them, we can never be in full good terms with our neighbors. ###

How many times have you saved the day?
Far too many to count, my friend.
Because that’s what really good friends do.
They create an oasis of peace in a pretty crazy world.
A place where it’s easy to laugh, to let things go, to kick back
And enjoy the here and now. It’s great.
About the greatest thing anyone could give.
I want to thank you big time for that.
That’s what I want to offer right back to you, too.
Whatever the situation calls for—Laughter. A shoulder. Juicy gossip.
A glass of wine. You know, the stuff it takes to blow off some steam, have a little fun, and just de-stress.
You can count on me for all that.
And you can also count on the fact that I’ll enjoy
Every little minute of our time together.
So here’s a toast to your awesomeness… and here’s to all our good times yet to come.
